New bioengineering technologies could accelerate Covid-19 research. The use of 3D cultured cells and artificial micro organs can be used for the study of cellular mechanisms, even in the case of virus attack, also reducing the use of animal experimentation. A group from the Milan Polytechnic is working on these technologies and has just published an important study, with us is Manuela Raimondi, professor of bioengineering at the Milan Polytechnic and first author of the article.
