ABOUT STEFANO BIFFO

The laboratory held by Dr. Biffo is located at INGM, National Institute of Molecular Genetics. The laboratory has worked for many years on the mechanisms of post transcriptional regulation of gene expression, in particular translational control. In the context of CRACK-IT, the laboratory is developing new approaches for the identification of rare tumorigenic cells in the circuitry of the MOAB. The approach is characterized by integrating the study of tumorigenic, engineered CD34+ cells, with imaging technologies, in close cooperation with the chamber-based scaffolds of bone marrow and lymph nodes, developed by the other partners.
